This image taken by a photographer called Ben Wisely. In this series ‘Formidable’ he explored and challenged traditional ideas about nude photography. He was interested by this model and chose to use her because she ‘asserts an indifference to the viewer, possibly revealing something of her attitude to herself.’ The woman looks as though she has just come out of the shower yet at the same time, she looks powerful and almost as a hero to those who look at this photograph. She is proud of who she is, and I feel this is shown by the lighting. This is her and this is her body. People should look up to her. It an amazing yet simple photograph.
